Project
Search--Careers For Teachers
The University
of Delaware Council on Teacher Education and the MBNA Career Services
Center sponsor a job fair, "Project Search --Careers for Teachers",
each year for senior teacher education majors. The program is usually
scheduled for a day and a half in March, and it is held at the Bob
Carpenter Convocation Center on the campus of the University of
Delaware.
The first
afternoon is slated as a Delaware only day and is devoted to Delaware
school districts. Day two is a full-day program including districts
from the region and around the country.
This program
provides an excellent opportunity, and in some cases, the only opportunity,
for students to make some very important contacts for future job
possibilities. Attendance at Project Search is considered an excused
absence and all student teachers are expected to attend the program.
Should students elect not to attend, they should report to their
classrooms.
