Education ID Badge Policy
Effective Fall 2001
All students who are enrolled in a teacher education program at
the University of Delaware must obtain an official University of
Delaware Teacher Education ID badge when they enroll in their first
course that has a clinical experience. ID badges are to be obtained
from the Office of Clinical Studies in Room 017 Willard Hall. The
course instructor will inform students of the procedure and schedule
for acquiring the ID badge.
All students
who are participating in clinical experiences must wear and display
the official University of Delaware Teacher Education ID badge whenever
they are participating in a clinical experience. Building principals/site
administrators are being informed that students are not to be in
the building without the official ID badge.
The student's
first badge is issued free of charge. A students requesting a replacements
is charged a fee of twenty-five dollars ($25) that must be paid
at the time the replacement badge is issued.
The ID badge
is issued to a teacher education major for the duration of their
program and will expire upon graduation. Should a student drop a
course that has a clinical component, the professor should collect
the ID badge and return it to the Office of Clinical Studies immediately.
The professor should not sign the drop/add form until she/he receives
the ID badge. The ID badge is reissued at no cost to the student
when the student enrolls in another course that has a clinical component.
