Course Goals

This course has been designed to provide students with a thorough analysis and application of the National Standards to concrete foreign language teaching/learning environments.

Students can expect to:

• explore the theoretical underpinings of the National Standards,
• learn how to design lesson plans that reflect these standards,
• learn how to take advantage of technological resources in the design and implementation of FL lesson plans,
• learn how to design effective assessment tools for these new learning parameters, and
• learn strategies for the design of effective teaching portfolios.
