The Center pursues two avenues to research and scholarly grant funding: one is internal, one is external. Internal grants are awarded to faculty and graduate students on a competitive basis for projects deemed relevant to the Center's mission. These competitions occur once a year in the fall. The external grants are awarded by outside agencies and foundations for projects that the center will pursue within its overall diversity mission.
