- A. Matriculated University of Delaware students
and U.D. alumni. Matriculated students include both full and part-time students
enrolled in a degree program.
- Q. How do I locate part-time or summer jobs?
- A. You can go to the following web site

view the Part-Time and Summer Job Vacancy Binders on the shelf in the Career
Resource Center at Career Services (401 Academy Street).
- Q. Do you have resources for finding an internship?
- A. Register with Career Services to gain
access to Blue Hen Jobs, our web site that lists local internship sites.
Also see www.udel.edu/CSC/intern.html for information on finding
the proper internship for your needs and what to expect from an internship.
It also lists some gateway sites for exploring national internships. In
addition, we have more than 30 internship directories which describe exciting
national and international internships in every field in the Career Resource
Center at 401 Academy Street.
- Q. How do I get credit for my internship?
- A. Each department has its own crediting
procedure for internships. Career Services sponsors a class - Univ 364-Experiential
Education which provide 3 elective credits through a combination of weekly
class meetings and 50 hours of concurrent internship experience .Contact

- Q. How can Career Services help me with
graduate school?
- A. On-line information about graduate
school is available at Career Service's web site www.udel.edu/CSC/gradschool.html The complete Peterson's
guide, the Gourman Report (with program rankings), testing information,
and other helpful resources may be found in the Career Resource Center in
401 Academy Street. Graduate School Day and the Law School Fair bring representative
from graduate schools to share information.
- Q. How do I find out what jobs connect with
my major?
- A. Go to the the Majors Resource Kit that fits
each potential major. Also check out U.S. News web site and the Career Plans
Survey. Look through the books in the "Exploring" section
of the Career Resource Center at Career Services. Make an appointment for consultation and possible career testing.
- Q. How can Career Services help me find
a career position during my senior year or after graduation?
- A.
- Job Fairs- twelve job fairs are set up each
year for networking. Check What's Happening.
- Job Vacancy Listings- Binders in Career
Service's career library contain numerous trade publications and up-dated
job leads for many occupations.
- Resume Referral System- Post your resume
on-line so potential employers can view/print it. This service is available
only to matriculated students. You must register with Career Services to
do this.
- Campus Interview Program- More than 250
employers visit U.D. annually to interview students and/or from a variety
of majors. The Campus Interview Program is coordinated through a
web-based system and protected by user names and passwords, you will need
to register and attend a Jobs Orientation
to utilize this program www.udel.edu/CSC/cip.html.
- Credential/Reference File- you may establish
a file which includes references, student teaching reports, and other
information you believe will be required by employers or graduate schools.
In order to release your file, the U.S. Family Educational Right and
Privacy Act requires that you complete a Credential Request Form, available
at Career Services , for each request.
- Q. Where can I find information about salaries?
- A. The quarterly salary survey developed
by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and other resources are available here.
- Q. What are some good internet sites I can
use to locate employment?

- Q. How do I get information on writing resumes
and cover letters?
