Milford
Sound is located on the East coast in the Fiordland National Park on the
south island. Scientifically the Fiords were created by ice.
However according to Maori legend a godly figure who came wielding a magical
adze and uttering incantations.
Trip to Milford: Getting to Milford was easier said than done. There is one road that goes there, and it is not a direct route which will take you about three hours from Te Anau. However the length is due to the fact that you're traveling through Fiordland National Park which has World Heritage Highway status for it's beauty and scenery.

Pictured
above are some of the most playful dusky dolphins we saw. They wove
their way around our boat and did other sorts of flips, and tricks.

To Truly understand how small we were in comparison with the walls surrounding us a few members of the group kayaked around a bay in the evening.

The
morning was very empowering.
Flight back to Queenstown: To avoid the 5 hour bus ride back to Queenstown, four members of our group chose to take a scenic flight back. The view of the Fiordland from the sky was unlike any other.
