Christchurch

    Welcome to the largest city in the south island, known as "The garden city of the south".  What's notable here is the influence of it's English settlers on the architecture of many of the structures, the design of the city, and many of the names found here.

    Cathedral Square is considered the heart of the city which the central focus being the Anglican Christ Church Cathedral.  These pictures are all taken from within the square or from the cathedral's bell tower.

Somehow we got Dana to dress up in all the Antarctic gear that a person living there would have to wear on a daily basis.

Wildlife Cruise:
Another group activity we were able to do was a dinner cruise just outside Christchurch.  The ride out was really wavy, but once we got to the cove it was a very pleasant evening.

Farewell Dinner:
To leave for Fiji we flew out of Christchurch to Auckland and then onto Nadi, but before we could go we had one last evening with Natalie & Malcolm to say good-bye to New Zealand.
