Grades
Writing, thinking and class participation (more than mere attendance) are critical elements of this class. Please remember that (just as in the real-world media) timeliness counts; late assignments will automatically lose credit. Your grades will be based on these elements:
- "Pop" assignments (one-page quickies) - all together 15% of grade
- Analysis papers - two (3-5 pages) - each 15% of grade
- Mid-term exam (take home essay; 5 page limit) - 20% of grade
- Final term paper (7-10 pages) - 20% of grade
- Final oral presentation - 10% of grade
- Attendance & participation - 5% of grade
