How you'll learn

A variety of activities(within & outside the classroom) will allow students to immerse themselves in selected cultures. This immersion involves the traditions (cultural & religious), food choices & food preparation methods of the selected religious & ethnic groups.

Within the classroom:

  • guest speakers
  • food & other visual displays
  • cooking demonstrations

Outside the classroom:

  • tasting & possibly preparing new foods
  • exploring grocery stores
  • interacting with someone born outside the U.S. and from a different culture
  • virtual visit to China
