Student Services Staff
Carolyn Quinci, Ed.D.
Assistant Dean Student Services
205 McDowell Hall
Welcome to the College of Health Sciences! I have worked for the University of Delaware since October 2000 in a variety of advisement roles, most recently as the Assistant Dean for Student Services in CHS since August 2012.
I am a native of upstate New York and earned a B.A. in Psychology from SUNY Binghamton, an M.S. in Ed. in College Student Development from Alfred University, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Delaware. Prior to my time at UD, I worked in various student affairs roles at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Penn State York, and the University of Rochester.
I find it somewhat ironic that I work in advising because while in college I was the poster child for all of the things you shouldn’t do. While I got through school having done fairly well, graduating on time, going on to graduate school, etc., I could have done so many more things had I actually met with my advisor on a regular basis. In the Undergraduate Student Services office we support students as they pursue their academic pursuits and support our faculty in their roles as advisors. Take a look at our website – the information and resources are for you. If you have questions that you cannot find an answer to, please do get in touch with us. If we aren’t the place that can assist, we can put you in touch with the correct person or office.
When not at work, I can be found running, often around campus, with my husband and daughter (who are MUCH faster than I). I also enjoy gardening, cooking, baking, and reading.

Debbie provides administrative support to the Undergraduate Student Services team. Debbie, a native of Richmond, Virginia, moved to Wilmington, DE in 1974. She holds a M.S. in Human Resources Management (Administrative Management concentration) from Wilmington University in New Castle, DE, and a B.A. in Mathematics from Fisk University in Nashville, TN.
Debbie is a highly skilled professional who has had progressive management responsibilities in both private and public sectors. She started her professional career with the DuPont Company working in customer service positions in various departments. After leaving DuPont due to downsizing, she entered higher education in an entry-level position as an Admissions Processing Supervisor at Community College of Philadelphia (CCP). At CCP, she progressed rapidly and became the college’s Registrar in 2001. In 2008, Debbie left CCP and joined Saint Joseph’s University in the College of Professional and Liberal Studies as Director of Advising and Retention. In 2013, Debbie joined the University of Delaware as the Academic Program Manager in the College of Health Sciences. As the Academic Program Manager, her major responsibilities include managing the senior checkout and degree clearance processes, processing course substitutions and waivers, reviewing Transfer Credit Evaluation forms, reaching out to students in academic or personal difficulties, and advising Health Sciences (non-OT) majors.
As the first in her immediate family to earn a college degree, Debbie has a strong sense of giving back. She has a deep appreciation for helping students succeed to obtain their dream of a college education. In the near future, she plans to focus on student success initiatives for the College of Health Sciences.

Outside of UD I like to spend time with my husband in the mountains of PA. I love precious days spent with my daughters and grandsons. I like to take pictures, do puzzles, read, watch movies, and take walks in the woods with my German shepherd Jaegermeister.
