At the STAR Campus on the site of the former Chrysler assembly plant

Many joined us for the 2nd Annual College of Health Sciences Gala, held on Friday, May 11, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. on UD’s new Science, Technology, and Advanced Research (STAR) Campus on the former Chrysler site.

The gala continued our efforts to raise funds to transform the site into a life and health sciences complex with a health and wellness focus. Our vision is to establish a vibrant community on the site, where health is not only the topic of our research, education, and clinical programs but also a way of life.

This year’s gala was held in the back bays of the former Chrysler assembly plant.

The evening included:

• Updates on development plans for the site
• Programmatic showcases at several “learning lounges”
• Healthcare Theatre performances
• A silent auction and raffle for a Bermuda Getaway
• A gastronomical mixologist
• Spectacular food
• The opportunity to mingle with community, state, university, and regional leaders
