In addition to creating knowledge and preparing professionals for leadership, CHEP collaborates with others to enhance human development across the life span; to strengthen educational policies and practices; to improve the quality and delivery of consumer goods and services; and to encourage effective policies and management in public, private and nonprofit organizations.  Some of these partnerships are long term, while others exist only for the life of a particular project.  Hundreds of organizations and agencies have worked with CHEP research and public service centers, and thousands of individuals have benefited directly from the research expertise and educational services provided by the centers.  Students work with faculty and staff on virtually all of these efforts, gaining valuable practical experience that complements their academic studies.
