CHEP's research and public service centers annually
provide research expertise and educational services to thousands
of individuals from hundreds of organizations and agencies.
Students work with faculty and staff on virtually all of
these efforts, gaining valuable practical experience that
complements their academic studies.

Provides demographic and survey data
and information on important public issues to researchers
and policymakers at all levels.

for Community Research and Service
Assists public, nonprofit and private
organizations in Delaware to design, implement, and evaluate
policies and programs that address the needs of low and
moderate income families and communities related to economic
development, housing and social services.

for Disabilities Studies
Focuses on improving the quality,
quantity, and range of public and private services and supports
available in Delaware for individuals with disabilities
and their families.

for Energy & Environmental Policy
Conducts interdisciplinary research
in the areas of sustainable development, technology and society,
and the political economy of energy systems and also provides
technical assistance to community, government, and nonprofit
organizations around the world.

for Historic Architecture & Design
Focuses on shaping historic preservation
planning and policy, reconstructing historic landscapes,
documenting threatened historic properties, and advocating
for the preservation of historic resources.

Center for Teacher Education
Strengthens both pre-service and in-service
teacher education, improves access for the education community
to the University's teacher education and professional development
programs, and supports the state's efforts to enhance teacher
education and professional development in line with new
state content standards and accountability requirements.

Provides information about the conditions
and performance of educational systems in the state, professional
development opportunities for educational leaders, and research
support to further educational reform in Delaware.
Early Learning Center
Offers quality child care and education
for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years as well as other services
for families, including assessments, intervention services and
parenting education; technical assistance and training for child
care providers; a laboratory for faculty and student researchers;
and a hands-on learning site for undergraduate and graduate students.

Prepares and supports international
students and professionals in their university studies and
careers through language and cultural immersion.

& Science Education Resource Center
Helps Delaware's K-12 math and science
teachers implement new content and performance standards
in their classrooms.

Works with schools, districts and inidvidual teachers with integrating technology throughout the K-12 curriculum.
