- Ad Hoc Committee on What Procedures should be used to Discuss
College-wide Academic Issues
Continuation of discussion regarding way to operationalize
recommendation #2 of the committee.
- Proposals for new courses/programs whose scope involves more
than one unit and/or there is no formal faculty vote by a sponsoring
unit are to be submitted to the CHEP council for formal discussion
and vote. (This may require a by-laws change.)
- Proposed revision to CHEP
Undergraduate Curriculum Committee Policies and Procedures
and CHEP
Graduate Curriculum Committee Policies and Procedures. The
revision is as follows;
In the case where the effected academic units have not voted
their approval for new or revised courses or programs which
involve more than one unit, the Chair will forward the additions
or revisions to College Council where such a vote will be taken.
The results will then be forwarded to the Dean's Office.
In both sets of procedures, this should be an addition to the
sixth item under "Additional Procedures", "The
committee has the option at all times to consult with the College
Council, particularly on issues affecting the entire College."
