This award honors CHEP alumni* who — through their achievements and commitment — have made extraordinary contributions to the fields of human services, education and public policy.

In evaluating nominees, the award committee will consider career achievements and accomplishments and professional service as manifested by tangible results, innovations, and contributions to the nominee’s profession and community. Nominations are welcome at any time and should be sent to the CHEP Dean’s Office, (University of Delaware, Newark, DE 19716; fax: 302/831-4605). Please include the nominee’s resume; newspaper or magazine clippings about the nominee are also helpful to the selection committee.

Current members of the CHEP Alumni Association board of directors are not eligible for the award. You can read about previous winners before you make your nomination.

 * "CHEP alumni" are alumni of the three colleges that combined to form CHEP -- Human Resources, Education, and Urban Affairs and Public Policy and their respective antecedents -- as well as alumni of the post-merger College of Human Services, Education and Public Policy. Students who have satisfactorily completed 30 hours or more of undergraduate or graduate study at UD are considered to be alumni even if they leave the University before completion of a degree.
