- Thesis: Although anabolic steroids and human growth hormone are physiologically very similar, uses of these drugs for body building and treatment of inherited dwarfism are not the same. The issue is can be complicated but is reduced to the aim of science to either cure medical diseases or just cure personal shortcomings. Dwarfism is a serious condition which carries with it health problems, as well as psychosocial problems. The only health problem associated with body building is the potential for side effects of anabolic steroids and other "supplements".
