12 September Career Planning and Placement, Industrial Recruitment, Getting personal references. "Get a Job" assignment due 28 September. Presentation by Dave Berilla, Career Services. 

WEB Site evaluation assignment due.
19 September Graduate School or Professional School or neither? Class canceled for Community Forum at the Bob Carpenter Center.
26 September Report on job hunt. Being connected with the profession: Meetings, memberships, subscriptions.  Job assignment due.
3 October Ethical Issues
Assignment of Seminar Presentation Schedules.		 Case study, "Organic Reactions," and list of Scientific Ideals provided.  Outline or Concept Map for planned web-site due.
10 October Principles of effective oral communication. Group exercise.
17 October Principles of effective visual communication. Critique of examples.  Team WEB sites need to be activated by Oct. 20.
24 October Discussion of the nature and importance of evaluation. Class web-site evaluations due by Oct 24.
31 October Preparation for group presentations Final Web-site revisions activated by  November 3 and summary of changes made e-mailed to instructor.
7 November Group presentations and evaluation Team presentations, both sections meet together (1:25 - 3:20 PM)
14 November Group presentations and evaluation Team presentations, both sections meet together (1:25 - 3:20 PM)
21 November Thanksgiving Break No class
