We invite applications from motivated scientists for a postdoctoral position for a NIH-funded research project to study selenoproteins. Selenoproteins are a specialized group of enzymes that contain the reactive amino acid selenocysteine. The objective is to record selenoproteins redox potential, nucleophilicity and susceptibility to oxidative damage, thereby deducing the general themes by which the protein environment governs these properties. Applicants with background in one or all of the following are encouraged to apply: biochemistry, molecular biology and biophysical methods. Please send curriculum vitae and names of three references to: Prof. Sharon Rozovsky, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, University of Delaware (email: rozovsky[@]udel.edu click here).
