In-class presentations
During the
semester, each student will give two presentations on papers selected from the
recent scientific literature. The
presentations are to be 15 minutes followed by 5 minutes for discussion. Assignments will be made by Prof.
Riordan. The means of presentation
can be either PowerPoint or the chalkboard (old school). The goal is to review the material
published, providing critical analysis of the methods/approaches and the
overall impact of the work to the broader field of bioinorganic chemistry. The citation will be given to the class
no later than the class period prior to the presentation. Each student is expected to read the
papers and be prepared to discuss in detail.
