Trofimenko Memorial Prize

The fourth annual Trofimenko Memorial Prize was awarded on Tuesday, April 05, 2011 to Jingmei Shen, on occasion of a departmental seminar presented by Professor Claudio Pettinari of the University of Camerino, Italy. Miss Shen is a fourth year graduate student in the laboratory of Prof. Klaus Theopold. The prize recognizes Miss Shen's creative synthetic work on the organometallic chemistry of chromium supported by alpha-diimine ligands. Miss Shen earned her BS at Beijing Institute of Technology. In the fall of 2010 she presented her work at the Boston ACS meeting.
