2011 Silver SymposiumThe Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry hosted the 38th annual Silver Symposium on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. in 219 Brown Laboratory. All of our graduate student participants (see program link below) gave excellent presentations, with three being singled out as Award winners:
A jury composed of representatives of each major research area in the department judged the participants on the basis of both the effectiveness of the presentation and the quality of the research. The Silver award consists of a certificate and an honorarium supported by the Joel Silver Award Fund (given in memory of Joel L. Silver, a graduate student killed in a traffic accident in his last doctoral year [1971]). We wish to thank all the participants and the jurors and heartiest congratulations to the award winners. http://www.udel.edu/chem/seminar/SilverSymposium2011S_Program.pdf |
