Bahnson Laboratory
Brian J. Bahnson, Ph.D.
Associate Professor of
Chemistry & Biochemistry.
Ying H. Pan, Ph.D.  Research Associate  Ying has solved several structures of phospholipase A2 which are interface bound mimics that offer a new perspective for the enzyme's catalytically active form.

Graduate Students
Stephen D. Kirby, Ph.D. Graduate student supported by the U. S. Army Institute of Chemical Defense. Steve is working to engineer new activities of human serum enzymes using X-ray crystallography, site-directed mutagenesis and kinetics as a guide.

Prabhavathi Srinivasan, Ph.D. graduate student.  Prabha is currently working on biophysical characterization of plasma platelet activating factor acetylhydrolase

Ana Fuzaylova, Ph.D. Graduate student.  Ana is jointly working with Prof. Roberta Colman on characterizing the interaction of GSTpi with JNK1 and JNK2.  She is also working on PAFAH-II localization in HEK293 cells.

Elizabeth Sedlack, Ph.D. graduate student.  Betsy is currently working on structure, function and cellular localization of type-II platelet activating factor acetylhydrolase.

Ming Dong, Ph.D. graduate student.  Ming is currently working on ADH structures from  bacillus stearothermophilus.

Stephanie Scott, Ph.D. graduate student.  Stephanie is currently working on structure function studies on human and mouse SMP30.

Diane Pham, Ph.D. graduate student.  Diane is a joint student working with Prof. Sharon Rozovsky, and she is currently working on selK structure and function.

Undergraduate Students
Sam Linton, Undergraduate biochemistry major.  Sam is currently working on type-II platelet activating factor acetylhydrolase.
