2004-2005 Team
Jon Brewster (2nd-year Sophomore)

Age: 22
Hometown: Hershey, Pennsylvania

Best cheerleading moment with UD:
My freshman year, when we placed third at Nationals. It was my first year on the UCA Collegiate Nationals floor, and it felt awesome.

Most embarrassing cheerleading moment:
Missing my stunt at prelims at Nationals in 2002 - but I hit it at finals. There was no way I was missing twice!

Favorite thing about the University of Delaware:
The fact that I can go to an academically-challenging school and still participate in an equally-challenging athletic program.

Personal and team goals for the season:
To hit a perfect routine at Nationals this year, and to become a better all-around student/athlete.

Greg Gilbert (2nd-year Sophomore) Nickname: "Gigantor"

Age: 18
Hometown: Cape May, New Jersey

Best cheerleading moment with UD:
Hitting our nationals routine on the basketball floor and knowing that we had the determination and skills to form one unit and acheieve our goal.

Most embarrassing cheerleading moment:
Missing multiple toss chairs...enough said.

Favorite thing about the University of Delaware:
The campus, the people, the challenging courses, pretty much everything about the school.

Personal and team goals for the season:
Team: HIT our routine AT nationals and become one family striving to be the best.
Personal: To get better and have some fun while doing it.

Lauren Kaplanis (1st-year Freshman) Nicknames: "LK", "Kraplanis"

Age: 18
Hometown: Danbury, Connecticut

Best cheerleading moment with UD:
At camp in Tennessee when I competed with the team for the first time!

Most embarrassing cheerleading moment:
Standing on stage while doing the entire fight song to a restaurant full of people.

Favorite thing about the University of Delaware:
The University of Delaware has such a variety of opportunities. Its beautiful campus and academics create an enjoyable atmosphere to be a part of. Delaware also has great school spirit and a nationally ranked cheerleading team!

Personal and team goals for the season:
My personal goal is to improve my skills in all areas of cheerleading and help the team in any way possible. As for the team, I hope to grow together as a family and have a successful season not only at Nationals but throughout the year.

Lisa Lim (3rd-year Junior) Nicknames: "Lis", "Lee"

Age: 20
Hometown: Rockville, Maryland

Best cheerleading moment with UD:
My best cheerleading moments are the moments spectators do not get to see. They are the long hours on the bus to and from football games. During these times, teammates become life long friends and those friends turn into your family.

Most embarrassing cheerleading moment:
At graduation last year in the Big Bob, Kevin Stahl and I were taking pictures together after he had graduated, when a teacher we both had came and told us to throw a stunt for a picture. We did a one arm shoulder sit and a crowd gathered to see what was going on. Instead of easing me off the front because I was in a skirt he popped me off and grabbed my waist to slow me down at the same time, pulling my skirt up around my chest.

Second most embarrassing (Formerly the most embarassing!):
Standing on a chair while singing/doing the fightsong/motions to an entire restuarant full of Citadel cadets. It was my first away trip and it will never be forgotten.

Favorite thing about the University of Delaware:
Every day you have the option of a new experience.

Personal and team goals for the season:
To keep pushing myself everyday in cheerleading as well as academically. With taking on a new leadership role this year I hope to be able to motivate my teammates to strive for the goals they have yet to achieve. "The sky is the limit"

Kayte Philson (3rd-year Senior) Nicknames: Phil, Philamina

Age: 20
Hometown: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Best cheerleading moment with UD: Stunting on the Great Wall of China.

Most embarrassing cheerleading moment: There are 3 embarrassing moments that stand out:
1. I broke a button and my top fell down in the middle of a football game.
2. The zipper on my skirt broke at a basketball game and I had to continue cheering with a huge hole in the back of my skirt.
3. I got stuck upside down hanging from Greg's arm with my skirt over my head while trying to swing dance at a basketball game.

Favorite thing about the University of Delaware:
I love the campus and all the friends I have made.

Personal and team goals for the season:

I hope that I continue to improve and set a good example. I want this year to be fun and successful for every team member.

Seth Riblett (2nd-year Sophomore) Nickname: "Sethro, Grizzly Adams, Beach Gorilla"

Age: 19
Hometown: Townsend, Delaware

Most embarrassing cheerleading moment:
At last year's homecoming football game, the team did a pep rally at the president's tailgate. I had to do a back tuck that I had just learned. I missed the landing and fell on my hands and knees right in front of the president and all of his guests. I was pritty embarrassed.

Favorite thing about the University of Delaware:
I like the small school feeling I get when someone recognizes me on or off the field. I like being close to home and I like spending time with all the new friends that I have made so far.

Personal and team goals for the season:
Personally I want to continue to grow and become a better cheeerleader so that I can contribute my best to the team. For the team I hope we can all become better as a whole and enjoy the season. I hope for a hit at Nationals and that we can all have fun and "Get-r-Done"!

Mike Tetlow (2nd-year Junior) Nickname: "Tetlow"

Age: 22
Hometown: Annapolis, Maryland

Best cheerleading moment with UD:
My best moments are when I am spending time with the team outside of practice.

Most embarrassing cheerleading moment:
Missing shoulders and having an entire pyramid fall.

Favorite thing about the University of Delaware:
The school spirt and fan involvment at games.

Personal and team goals for the season:
Personal goal: Being on the floor for partner stunt
competition.
Team goal: To hit our routine at Nationals.

Stephanie Tucker (2nd-year Sophomore) Nicknames: "Tucker"

Age: 19
Hometown: Edgemere, Maryland

Best cheerleading moment with UD:
The first time a little girl asked for my autograph.

Most embarrassing cheerleading moment:
At every football game when my partner had less than a perfect grip on flip high chair and held me up by my bloomers.

Favorite thing about the University of Delaware:
The beautiful campus and the friendly people.

Personal and team goals for the season:
To strive for perfection in everything we try, allowing nothing to stand in the way.
