Important Dates and Things to Consider For High School
Students Considering the University of Delaware:
For Seniors in High School:
If you have any interest in cheering at the University of Delaware please contact Head Coach Rob Ellery as soon as possible. The earlier you contact Coach Ellery (summer/fall), the earlier you will be informed of the coed stunting and tumbling skills to work on in order to prepare you for tryouts.
It is also imperative that you finish your senior year strong academically by focusing on taking required courses, maintaining a high grade point average, achieving strong SAT test scores, and participating in a strong variety of extracurricular activities.
In 2009, admissions received 24,000 applications and took just over 3,000 freshman.
The application timetable is:
Submit the UD Application or Common Application and Supplement to receive priority consideration for merit scholarships and/or admission to the University Honors Program.
Submit the UD Application or the Common Application and Supplement to receive consideration for admission.

For Juniors in High School:

As you are in the halfway point of your high school career, it is imperative that you are maintaining your academics and begin preparing to take the SAT.
It is also the time to be perfecting your tumbling and if you have not done so attend one of our coed stunt clinics or pursue private coed stunting lessons to prepare you for tryouts.
It is strongly encouraged to come take a tour of our campus.
For Freshman and Sophomores in High School:
It is not too early to start thinking about college, and the University of Delaware is an amazing place to cheer and to prepare you for your future career.
Now is the time to make sure you are earning strong grades in all of your classes and keeping in touch with your academic or guidance counselor to make sure you are taking the required courses to graduate and to gain admission in to the University of Delaware.
It is also the time to make sure you are working on and learning new tumbling skills and to start thinking about attending one of our coed stunt clinics.
