The Louise & David Roselle Center for the Arts...

at the University of Delaware offers a tremendous range of performances in music, theatre, dance, and student recitals throughout the year. Centrally located between New York City and Washington, D.C., the University of Delaware campus and Newark (pronounced New Ark, as it was once spelled), are only minutes away from Interstate 95 and easily accessible by air, train, and car. Philadelphia International Airport is approximately 40 miles from campus. New York City and Washington, D.C., are about two hours away by train and slightly longer by car.

The Center for the Arts is located on the University of Delaware’s Newark campus at 110 Orchard Road. The building sits between Elkton Road and Orchard Road, with Amstel Avenue serving as a connector between the two. There is a pay-to-park garage adjacent to the Center, with entrances along both Elkton Road and Amstel Avenue. An additional pay-to-park garage is located a five minute walk to the north, next to the Trabant University Center.

Directions:

From 95 North or South: From 95 North or South: Take the Route 896 North or South College Avenue Exit (Exit 1B). Continue straight past the UD Stadium, then cross an overpass, and continue until you reach the second traffic light (Kent Way). Turn left at the light onto Kent Way. Head eastward on Kent Way until it meets Orchard Rd. Turn right and head to the stop sign at Amstel Ave. Turn left and then left once more after passing the Amy E. DuPont Music Building. The CFA parking garage will be at the end of the drive.

From Main Street: Follow Main Street to South College Avenue, make a left onto South College Avenue and continue straight to the third traffic light (Kent Way). Head eastward on Kent Way until it meets Orchard Rd. Turn right and head to the stop sign at Amstel Ave. Turn left and then left once more after passing the Amy E. DuPont Music Building. The CFA parking garage will be at the end of the drive.

From Elkton Road: Take Elkton Road North to the stoplight at Amstel Avenue. Turn right onto Amstel Avenue, and right again before reaching the Amy E. Dupont Music Building. The CFA parking garage will be at the end of the drive.

From Route 4 (Christina Parkway): Take Route 4 West to South College Avenue (Route 896). Turn right onto South College Avenue and continue past the Stadium, and over an overpass. Continue straight to the second traffic light (Kent Way); make a left onto Kent Way. Head eastward on Kent Way until it meets Orchard Rd. Turn right and head to the stop sign at Amstel Ave. Turn left and then left once more after passing the Amy E. DuPont Music Building. The CFA parking garage will be at the end of the drive.

Parking:

General Parking: The Roselle Center for the Arts is connected by a covered pergola to a 715-vehicle parking deck, just west of the center, accessible from Elkton Road and Amstel Avenue. There are metered spaces along Kent and Orchard Roads.

Handicapped parking: Handicapped parking spaces have been designated in all major lots. They are located as conveniently as possible to accessible building entrances and are identified by appropriate signs. Parking in the accessway to a handicapped space is prohibited and is subject to a fine.
Use of handicapped spaces is restricted to vehicles occupied by persons who are handicapped and which bear an authorized Handicapped Permit (from the State of Delaware or another state) or bear a handicapped license plate.

A valid University of Delaware permit for the lot in which the handicapped space is located is also required. Commuting students with authorized disabilities are eligible to register for a Gold permit regardless of their completed credit hours or off-campus address. Users of handicapped spaces located in the campus pay-to-park lots must pay the appropriate hourly or daily fees.
