The Louise & David Roselle Center for the Arts...
serves as the focal point of the University of Delaware’s performing arts community, while providing support for and enhancement of the University’s academic programs. The first priority of the Center is to utilize performance space for performances by undergraduate and graduate programs in the Departments of Music and Theatre. In addition, the Center may function as a venue for a diverse array of performances or events from other internal or external groups when such activities do not interfere with University scheduling. Efforts will be made to accommodate utilization of performance spaces for practice or rehearsal sessions, but doing so is a lower priority.
OBJECTIVES
The University of Delaware’s Performing Arts Series will:
1) program each of the three main performing disciplines (music, dance, theatre) in every season; 2) program events that neither UD academic units or other arts presenters in Northern Delaware would necessarily sponsor; 3) explore live entertainment offerings for younger children; 4) bring distinction to the aesthetic reputation of the university.
