Charge to CHEP

CHEP Colleagues:

President Harker has charged us with developing a set of strategic priorities for the college that are linked to the University’s strategic plan.  We must deliver these “big ideas,” as Dr. Harker refers to them, by September 15th.  This web site is designed for you to provide feedback and for the CHEP Strategic Planning Committee to share information with the CHEP community about the development of those strategic priorities. 

I have asked the CHEP Strategic Planning Committee with engaging the college community—including faculty, staff, students, alumna, and community stakeholders—to gather information as we develop the report to President Harker.  The committee will be responsible for:

• ensuring that the college community is engaged in the development of the report;
• using the information collected from the CHEP community to develop and submit to the Dean’s office a 10-page report outlining four to six college strategic priorities; and
• delivery of the report in time for the President to receive it by September 15, 2008.

You will be receiving information from the committee periodically throughout the Summer.  The members of the strategic planning committee with their e-mail contact information can be found below.  The committee and I look forward to your participation in the development of the strategic plan and your input into the report to President Harker.  Thank you for your assistance with this important task.
