Summer 2008 Workshops -

Economics for Kids

Economics for Kids is specifically designed for Kindergarten teachers, to bring them five complete standards-based lessons to use with their students.  Participants will receive a notebook of lessons, including classroom materials, created to accompany children’s books about economic concepts.  They will also be given the following children’s books:  Building a House by Byron Barton, If You Give a Pig a Pancake by Laura Numeroff, Peanut Butter and Jelly by Nadine Bernard Westcott, Bennies Pennies by Pat Brisson, and Just a Piggy Bank by Gina and Mercer Mayer. (This program will begin on June 18, 2008.)
