The Role of the Advisory Council

The HDWD Advisory Panel consists of self-advocates, parents, advocacy groups, and state-and community organizations dedicated to health promotion and wellness for people with disabilities. The Advisory Council is an important and integral part of the project and its member provide information, technical assistance and expertise in health and disability-related areas.

Comprised of individuals and agencies with an interest in promoting health for all Delawareans with disabilities, the Advisory Council provides guidance and vision for achieving the goals of the grant. The council works with project staff to identify opportunities for improving access to health care and developing interventions that will allow all Delawareans with disabilities to adopt healthy lifestyles.
