Marijuana use and teens' perceptions of marijuana risk

Using national data from Monitoring the Future and Delaware data from CDAS’s Delaware School Survey, a recent report by the Delaware Drug and Alcohol Tracking Alliance (DDATA) notes the relationship between teens’ perception of risks from using marijuana, and the proportion of teens regularly using marijuana. The report also shows that trends in Delaware marijuana use and perceptions of harm tend to follow national trends over time. The overall trend shows that while perceived risk has been in decline since the early 1990s, marijuana use has risen both in Delaware and nationally.
