Robert R. Davis

Bob Davis has served as Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations since February 1999.

A 1971 graduate of the University of Delaware who also holds a master’s degree in education administration from Bowling Green University, Davis has been a University employee since 1977. He previously was dean of students and director of public information at Wilmington College.

At the University of Delaware, Davis has served in a number of capacities in the alumni relations office and the development office, including as director of research and records during the University’s 150th anniversary capital campaign, which supported an addition to Morris Library as well as scholarships. He was director of University relations in the Office of the President for nine years before becoming director of the combined offices of alumni and University relations in 1993.

Davis was named Assistant Vice President for Alumni and University Relations in 1997.

Kevin R. O’Brien

Kevin O’Brien has served as Associate Vice President for University Development since 1999.

He is a 1983 graduate of Penn State University and holds a law degree from the Dickinson School of Law and a Masters of Law in Taxation from Georgetown University.

Before being named associate vice president at the University of Delaware, O’Brien was Assistant Vice President of Development for Main Line Health from 1996 to 1999. He previously worked in the development office at Drexel University, where he rose to the position of Assistant Vice President for Major and Planned Gifts. From 1986 to 1993, he was an attorney with the firm MacElree, Harvey, Gallagher & Featherman, Ltd.
