Wednesday, August 24th, 2011
8:30-9:00- Arrival at Trabant Student Center, check-in, breakfast
9:00-9:45- Official welcome
9:45-11:15 – Keynote Speaker Marlon Smith, "Living with Purpose"
(parents who are staying for move-in are dismissed at 11:15)
11:15-12:00- Follow up activity and introduction to Living with Purpose book.
12:00- 12:40- Lunch with Peer Mentors and review of QUEST schedule
12:45- 2:15- Why Leadership and Identifying Your Values
2:00-3:00- Small group teambuilding activity that follows up on values clarification **
3:00-4:30- Campus Scavenger Hunt
4:30-4:50- Reflection 1 from Living with Purpose
4:50-5:00 – Pick up pizza and head to residence halls
5:00-7:30- Move in to residence halls- pizza provided
7:45-8:00 Ice Cream Sundae Bar
8:00-9:00- The Leadership Challenge Workshop and activities
9:00-11:00- Team activities, reflection and social time
Thursday, August 25
8:00 -8:30- Breakfast
8:30-10:00- Teams and Service (possibly a 45 min. session on Developing Your Career Plan)
10:00- 3:00- Community Service Day (brown bag lunch provided)
3:00-4:00- Reflection
4:00-5:00- Break
5:00- 6:00- Dinner
6:00- 7:30 – True Colors
7:30-8:30- Small group reflection
9:00-11:00- Social activities/teambuilders
Friday, August 26
8:30-9:00- Breakfast
9:00- Leave for Sandy Hill Camp in Northeast, Maryland
9:30 am 10:00 – Camp introduction
10:00-12:00- Goal setting, Breaking Through Barriers
12:00-12:30- Lunch
12:30-4:30- Challenge course
4:30-6:30- Swimming, etc.
6:30-7:00- Dinner
7:00-8:30- Collage activity and reflection
8:30-10:00- Campfire
10:00- Return to campus
Saturday, August 27
8:30-9:30= Wrap up breakfast
What to bring to QUEST
No matter which move in option you select, you will need to minimally bring the following with you for the three
full days of QUEST activities:
Casual clothing appropriate for both indoor and outdoor physical activities, including bathing suit
Good sneakers and socks
Bedding and anything else you need to sleep comfortably in your residence hall
Towels and toiletries, shower shoes
Necessary medications, if applicable
Alarm clock or cell phone with this function
Camera (not necessary, but recommended!)
