This group is for parents of children with AS, HFA or PDD. (No children at meetings, but family activities are planned periodically.) They offer sharing and support. Speakers on occasion.

Dayton Area (Kettering)

Dayton Asperger Resource Network (DARN)

DARN is a support group for families, educators, medical professionals, and other community members who are involved with improving the lives of individuals who have or suspect that they have a autism spectrum disorders. We have once a month support group meetings with occasional speakers. In addition to our web site, we offer email support to those who have questions and concerns in between meetings. We have a newly formed Young Adults Social Group and a Family Night Out (a purely social event).

Lawrence County Asperger's Syndrome & Autism Group

This group serves Lawrence County Ohio as well as families in the neighboring states of West Virginia and Kentucky.

Meeting Date & Time:
The group meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. Please check the website to confirm meeting dates. We occasionally need to move the date to accomodate church and/or school schedules.

A.S.K. (Autistic Spectrum Kids)

This group is for parents (although professionals are welcome) and features speakers, a lending library for toys and books, and plans to audio tape meetings for those who are unable to attend. It is preferred that children do not attend meetings, however, it if means that parents can not come, then please bring the children.
