This support group was created to provide emotional and social support and
information to families and educators dealing with Asperger's Syndrome in
school-age children. Our monthly meetings feature occasional guest speakers. We
also provide information on available local resources.

Asperger's Support Group of Northern Nevada
This group is open to parents and professionals who are dealing with
Asperger's Syndrome in school age children. It offers monthly meetings
with guest speakers on a variety of topics. It largely focuses on
available local resources and how to access needed services.
It also offers emotional and social support for parents of newly
diagnosed children, as well as information on how to work with
the school system. There will be a quarterly newsletter soon.
They also have plans for incorporating social skills training
for the children, as well as play dates.
