GRASP is an organization that is serving individuals on the
autism spectrum, and run BY those individuals. The present focus of the
organization is support and education, but they also have an interest in advocacy
and monitoring of social services and professionals in the field. The basic
philosophy of the GRASP organization is to maximize the positive aspects of AS,
and to minimize the negative aspects. They have local support groups in New York City, Long Island, Southern New
England and a new group is forming to serve the Philadelphia/Southern Jersey/Delaware area. Please visit their web site at:

"The College Internship Program at the Brevard Center provides individualized, post-secondary academic, internship and
independent living experiences for young adults with Asperger's Syndrome and Nonverbal learning differences. With our
support and direction, students learn to realize and develop their potential."
This Canadian business was opened in 1995 to offer a service that helps people
with Asperger Syndrome(AS) and more able autism acquire vocational
skills and find meaningful work. In addition, they present workshops and seminars.

This an on-line resource for individuals with AS, spouses and family members of adults diagnosed or suspected to be on the autistic spectrum. The approach of this group is directed towards solving problems in relationships. The listserv is a closed, subscription list hosted by FEAT. The list is owned and administered by Linda Newland. This group is mostly for couples at any level of commitment. The idea is to have list members provide support and advice on navigating the dating jungle, deal with long-term relationship issues surrounding communication and other difficult areas, etc. Married persons may also join if they wish. Children with AS do grow up. Some of them go on to have children. What then?
This is an online forum open to people over 18, most of whom identify as NT, and who had one or both parents/ carers on the Autistic Spectrum. Over the past 2 years we have built up a great deal of insight into the effects of AS parents on their children . We offer support, information, and healing. Our next step is to empower our members to advocate for children raised in AS homes, as this is a major issue that the AS community needs to be aware of.
