OASIS sponsors three message board and chatroom support forums. All three are private and moderated and are located on delphiforums.com. You can find your way to delphiforums by clicking on one the links below. In order to participate you must register with them and because I keep the forums private and moderated, you will need a one-time "Group Registration Code". It does NOT go out automatically.

  This is a general AS forum open to parents and adult family members of children with AS and related diagnosis. Adults with AS are also welcome. NOTE: While professionals who work directly with children are welcome the forum is NOT to be used for research purposes or to advertise your services. If you're a professional or student working on a research project or you wish to advertise your professional services, please contact me about having your information listed on other areas of OASIS. This forum is not open to children under 18 unless their parents are also members and willing to supervise and be responsible for the content of their child's posts. Children are limited to posting in one folder.

  This forum open to parents and caregivers of teens and young adults who are diagnosed with AS. Since the focus is on teens and older the forum is not open to parents of younger children with AS. The forum is not open to the teens themselves.

  
  

• Following one of the above links will take you to delphiforums. Here you will register as a new member. You'll pick a membername, password and answer a few questions. Choose a membername that you like because it cannot be changed. However, your User Name can be changed by going to "my forums" and scrolling to preferences. Once you've registered, in order to enter the forum, you will be asked for a one-time "group registration code". At the point you're asked for this code code you will see an area to send a message to me requesting the code. I'll get back to you within 24 hrs. If for some reason you do not get a response within a day or two please make sure that your return address is properly set up and send a second message. Once you're registered you won't need to use the code again. Your browser MUST be set up to accept "cookies". (note: this is a default setting so unless you've turned it off, most likely it will be on)

• The dephi forum is PRIVATE and MODERATED so the message board and chats are open only to those visitors who register. Messages may not be shared off the forum without the permission of the author of the original post. (This does not include posts containing general information such as conferences, support groups, or links.) While messages do not require approval to be posted, any inappropriate posts will be deleted. Inappropriate chat room behavior or message posting could result in being locked out of the forum. I want the forum to be a safe environment. If anyone has questions about what is or is not appropriate, please send me a message from the forum. My forum membername is BARBKIRBY.
  Make sure your preferences are set to accept incoming e-mail. I have sent several people the access code and had mail returned. If you don't receive a code within 48 hours, please check to make sure you registered with an active e-mail account. Again, mail has bounced because people register using inactive e-mail accounts.
