Asperger Syndrome: Kid's Corner

What is a Snowflake?

by Shaun Bickley

What falls from the world aloft?
          Throughout, ever so soft.
Coming in clouds far and near.
Making some laugh and others jeer.
          Coming from the mighty sky,
          Aboard the air they fly.
          You sit inside and wait,
For they may come out late.
Across the clouds covered in frost.
Among them most will seem lost.
          What do they really mean?
          Covering the Earth once green.
          From the clouds they bail,
          Riding in a gale.
          What appears on their face
While hovering in the air with grace?
But whatever secrets they hold within,
They keep before their own kin.
What are they inside and out?
Why do they linger in the wind about?
