  1. What types of payment plans are available at the University of Delaware?

There are three ways to make payment for semester charges: A) Payment in Full; B) The Installment Plan; and, C) Delaware Guaranteed Prepaid Tuition Plan.

    A) If you choose to make payment in full, confirm that the semester charges and credits reflected on your Estimated Bill are correct, make adjustments if necessary, and remit the total balance due by the fee payment deadline indicated.

    B) If you choose the installment plan: again confirm and total your charges and credits, divide the balance by four and add the $50.00 Installment Fee to the first installment payment. Remit your first payment by the fee payment deadline.

    C) The Delaware Guaranteed Prepaid Tuition Program is a single cash payment. For more information, please contact the Billing Services office.

  2. If my estimated bill is incorrect (i.e. reflects part-time tuition for full-time student, does not reflect room/meal charge, incomplete financial aid) should I wait for a corrected bill?

  5. How is my Direct Loan processed by the University?

If you are accepting a Direct Loan, you may use 99% of the fall disbursement as a deduction from your semester bill (2.5% origination minus 1.5% rebate). If you are accepting a Federal Direct Parent Loan, subtract a 2.5% fee (4% origination minus 1.5% rebate). Once the Financial Aid Office has originated your student loan, you will receive a disclosure notice in the mail. Your disclosure notice will describe, in detail, the terms and dates associated with your student loan. A Promissory Note and Entrance Counseling may be required for disbursement of your loan; if either of these are required you will receive a postcard from the Financial Aid Office with instructions. For more information please visit the Financial Aid Home Page.
