Introduction

At the beginning of a book entitled Advanced Web Design, the author has the obligation to define what makes a Web advanced. This part of the book fulfills that obligation with two introductory chapters. The first chapter defines the elements of an advanced Web. You will use these elements to create advanced Web designs during the step-by-step tutorials in this book.

In order to publish advanced Web designs on the Internet, you will need access to a Web server that can power the elements of an advanced Web. Chapter 2 tells you how to install or gain access to such a server. After you complete Chapter 2, you will be ready to provide worldwide access to the advanced Webs you create in the rest of the book.

This page is part of the Advanced Web Design Web site.
