| Overview
Delaware SEED (Student Excellence Equals
Degree) scholarships are provided by the State of Delaware and cover
tuition for full time students enrolled in the University of Delaware (UD)
Associate in Arts Program. The SEED Scholarships are for
Delaware-resident students who stay in school, work hard, and stay out
of trouble.
If the proposed State budget for the SEED Scholarship Program changes, the University of Delaware assures eligible returning students will have their awards fully funded so long as they continue to meet all of the requirements of their SEED Scholarship. For Freshman who will be entering the Associate in Arts Program, the University of Delaware will award SEED Scholarships to as many eligible students as State Funding will allow. In selecting students, UD will give the priority to students who have the most financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid ("FAFSA"). UD begins reviewing new students in March, it is recommended that families file their FAFSAs by the end of February (www.fafsa.ed.gov) for first consideration.
SEED
Scholarships can also be used to cover tuition for
an associate's degree program offered by Delaware Technical &
Community College (DTCC). The University of Delaware and Delaware
Technical & Community College (DTCC) each have their own procedures
for the scholarships, so be sure to read the guidelines and follow the
correct procedures for your school and degree program. You
