| Eligibility
The SEED
(Student Excellence Equals
Degree) Scholarship Program provides tuition for full-time students
enrolled in the University of Delaware Associate in Arts Program. The
Associate in Arts Program is offered through the UD Academic Centers
located at the Dover, Georgetown and Wilmington campuses of Delaware
Technical &
Community College (DTCC).
UD
Associate in Arts students who meet the following criteria will be
eligible for SEED Scholarships:
- Students must
have graduated from a Delaware public
or non-public high school or home school program.
- Students must meet the residency
requirements of the
University of Delaware.
- Entering students must have a
cumulative GPA of 2.5
on a 4-point scale or 80% on a 100% scale, as stated on the student’s
official high school transcript.
- Students must apply to the
University of Delaware by
January 15 and must be admitted to the University of Delaware’s
Associate in Arts Program.
- Students must not have been
convicted of a felony.
- Students must enroll in the
Associate in Arts Program
at UD no later than the fall immediately following their high school
graduation.
- Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA in
the Associate in
Arts Program in order to remain eligible for the scholarship.
- Students must enroll full-time at a
UD Academic
Center in Dover, Georgetown or Wilmington.
- Students must apply for all
appropriate forms of
financial aid for which the student is eligible and accept all such
financial assistance offered or awarded to the student, except for
loans.
- Students must file the FAFSA (Free
Application for
Federal Student Aid) or, if the student is not eligible to file a
FAFSA, the UD Financial Aid Form. The recommended filing date is
February 1 and the final filing deadline is March 15.
