Under the Delaware ARTC program, individuals with college degrees in selected secondary school subjects may be hired by a public or charter secondary school and complete certification requirements during the first year of teaching -- through a 12- to 18-month, state-approved program of classes and seminars accompanied by intensive, school-based mentoring and supervision. Masters Plus Certification Program in Special Education designed for individuals with non-education college degrees who want to complete special education certification while employed in a Delaware school.

ARTC/ESL-Bilingual (Teaching English as a Second Language/Bilingual Education) allows individuals who complete an 6 course sequence to be hired as an ESL or Bilingual teacher in a Delaware public or charter school and complete requirements for teacher certification, and the Master’s degree, while they are teaching.
