We in the Department of Art pride ourselves on educating the creative leaders of tomorrow. We teach creativity and innovation in a liberal arts context and equip students to be groundbreaking artists and designers of the next generation. We appreciate your interest in supporting the vital work we do, and hope you will join us in our mission of cultivating forward thinking, socially engaged, and progressive leaders in the Fine Arts and Design.
Your gift will help support a nationally recognized curriculum in both undergraduate and graduate education. We enjoy an excellent reputation, with programs rating within the top 10 in the country! Our graduates go on to exciting careers in fine arts, museum and gallery work, advertising, graphic design, interactive design, among many others. We are fortunate to have top-notch studio facilities, a beneficial geographic location, and to collaborate with colleagues in our research intensive University.

- Exceptional studio facilities in Ceramics, Lens Media, Painting, Printmaking, and Sculpture, as well as Raven Press, our own independent letter press
- Study abroad programs to all areas of the globe, including: Tanzania, France, Italy, Germany, Peru, New Zealand, Cuba, Vietnam, with new areas to be pursued
- An international internship program with opportunities in London, India, Brazil, Canada, as well as the United States
- Student exhibitions in New York, Philadelphia, Wilmington, and in our on-campus gallery in Recitation Hall
- Regular field trips to New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and other mid-Atlantic sites
- An ongoing Visiting Artists & Designers series that has included notable names like Robert Storr and Elizabeth Murray
- Collaborations with other University of Delaware departments such as English, Fashion and Apparel Studies, and Mechanical Engineering
- Faculty scholarship and creative work with international exposure: Russia, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Iceland, Canada, Brazil, Philippines, India, plus major U.S. cities New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, among many others
