Admission to the Department of Art as an undergraduate student is a two-part process. Students must complete an application to the University and submit an application to the department. The application to the department consists of a digital portfolio of art work and a written essay which are uploaded to the UD/ART Digital Portfolio Application website and evaluated by the Art Department Admissions Committee (DAC). More information about portfolio and essay requirements are found at http://portfolio.art.udel.edu. See below for more information about admission requirements. Accepted students enter the department into the Bachelor of Arts in Art (BA) degree. At the end of the first year, upon completion of the Foundation requirements, students may apply to a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree program. Admission to the BFA in Visual Communications and BFA in Fine Arts degree programs requires a portfolio of work from the Foundation courses. |
Step 1: Apply to the University of Delaware. Step 2. Submit your digital portfolio and essay to the Art department. Step 3: You will be notified of your acceptance to both the Art Department and the University by the Admissions Office. Please do not contact the Art office to inquire about the status of your application. |
