Object Studies:

 

Every object that is pulled from the ground has a story behind it.  However, the story will never be told unless extensive research is done.  These are just a few studies that have been conducted.  The child’s teacup was excavated on the Read House property.  The clay pipe study is a more general account of the history of the object, inspired by findings at the Read House.  Delft Ware is a type of ceramic that was popular in the area during the 1st half of the 18th century; many vessels were broken and discarded with other trash in the yard.   This section focuses on.  .  .
