Program Assets

Located midway between New York and Washington D.C., the Ph.D. Program in American Civilization at the University of Delaware is ideally situated to foster interdisciplinary scholarship. Among its assets are:

  • A distinguished faculty at a Land and Sea Grant research university.
  • An interdisciplinary Center for American Material Culture Studies.
  • Opportunities to work with the object and library collections at the Winterthur Museum, Garden and Library.
