Class Reunions
Alumni Weekend 2013 will be extra special for the Classes of 1963, 1988, 1993, 1998, 2003 and 2008, who will celebrate their milestone years with exciting reunion events planned by hard-working volunteer reunion committees.
Mug Night Returns!
Mug Night is back and bigger than ever! Join Blue Hens under two massive tents for an evening of friends, food, dancing and drinks. The Blue Tent (located on The North Green) will have Speaker City performing, and the Gold Tent (located on The South Green) will have Love Seed Mama Jump. If you graduated in the 1990s or before, we suggest you sign up for the tent with Love Seed Mama Jump, UD’s hottest band from the mid-90s. If you graduated in the 2000s, we suggest you sign up for the tent with Speaker City, whose band members are millennium graduates. All attendees receive a commemorative Alumni Weekend mug sponsored by Deer Park and Modern Mail.
Blue Hen R&B Lounge!
Dance the night away and enjoy a two-hour open bar and heavy hors d'oeuvres at the first annual Blue Hen R&B Lounge on Friday night at the Roselle Center for the Arts, featuring the sounds of the band Best Kept Soul, and DJ Silk spinning the best in r&b and hip hop! This event is hosted by the UD Black Alumni Organization with support from the UD Alumni Association.
Blue Hen 5K & 1K Kids Fun Run - now on Sunday!
Go for the gold, set a new personal best or just enjoy a stroll with fellow Blue Hens during the Blue Hen 5K. Future Blue Hens (age 11 and under) are invited to race in the free 1K Kids Fun Run before cheering on their parents and friends in the Blue Hen 5K. This year, the race will take place on Sunday, June 2. Registration coming soon.
The State of UD
University President Patrick Harker will discuss major accomplishments of the past academic year and his vision for the year ahead. He'll talk about new leadership in the University's colleges and administrative units, construction projects transforming UD, the success of notable recent graduates, and exciting initiatives and partnerships advancing the University's education, research, outreach, diversity and economic development goals.
Family Fun at Lunch with the Mascots on Saturday!
Join YoUDee and Baby Blue for fun and food on The Green at the Lunch with the UD Mascots! Have your picture taken with the Mascots on the red carpet, get your face painted, visit the balloon artist, play in the bounce house, and enjoy games, activities, food and fun! The lunch will include the announcement of the new UDairy Creamery ice cream flavor made especially for Alumni Weekend. Parents and kids are encouraged to stop by the Kid Zone, sponsored by the College of Education and Human Development, for crafts, activities and more.
UDAA Alumni Wall of Fame Ceremony & Reception
Held on Saturday, June 1 at the Roselle Center for the Arts, the UD Alumni Wall of Fame (est. 1984) recognizes outstanding professional and public service achievements by UD graduates.
Campus Tours
Whether you graduated in 1958 or 2008, campus has changed since UD was your home. Several different tours of campus are available throughout the weekend as are tours of the still-under construction science lab among other features. Don't miss these opportunities to reacquaint yourself with (or learn about) your campus!
