Reunions

Milestone Reunions

Alumni Weekend 2012 will be an extra special event for the Classes of 1962, 1987, 1992, 1997, 2002 and 2007. These classes will be celebrating a milestone reunion and the reunion committees for each class have planned a celebration worthy of the occasion.

Mug Night

Mug Night Returns!

Mug Night is back and it's a Dela-bration! Join over 3,000 Blue Hens under massive tents on the North Green for an evening of friends, food, dancing and drinks. Music will be provided by Burnt Sienna featuring Jefe and all attendees receive a commemorative Alumni Weekend mug sponsored by Deer Park and Modern Mail.

Blue Hen 5K

Ready, Set, Go!

Go for the gold, set a new personal best or just enjoy a stroll with fellow Blue Hens during the Blue Hen 5K. Future Blue Hens (age 11 and under) are invited to race in the free 1K Kids Fun Run before cheering on their parents and friends in the Blue Hen 5K. Register online now.

State of UD

The State of UD

University President Patrick Harker will discuss major accomplishments of the academic year just ended and his vision for the year ahead. He will address the financial challenges UD faces in a difficult economy and opportunities for prominence despite them. He'll talk about new leadership in the University's colleges and administrative units; the success of newly graduated students and the credentials of the Class of 2016; and exciting initiatives and partnerships advancing the UD's education, research, outreach, diversity, and economic development goals. Kathy Matt, dean of the College of Health Sciences, will join Dr. Harker to discuss phase I development of the University's Science, Technology and Advanced Research campus.

Brunch on the Green

Recharge and Reunite!

Whether you were up late at Mug Night or up early for the Blue Hen 5K (or both), re-energize with a meal on The Green. Fill your plate with scrambled eggs, bagels, fruit, hot dogs, tater tots, sandwiches, drinks and more. Plus make sure to get in the photo booth, play games and take a picture with YoUDee and Baby Blue. The brunch will also include the announcement of the new UDairy Creamery ice cream flavor made especially for Alumni Weekend (vote for one of the finalists now).

UD Alumni Wall of Fame

Best of the Blue Hens

The UD Alumni Wall of Fame ceremony will be held during Alumni Weekend. Established in 1984 by the University and the UD Alumni Association, the Alumni Wall of Fame recognizes outstanding professional and public service achievements by UD graduates.

Campus Tours

Tour Back to the Future

Whether you graduated in 1957 or 2007, campus has changed since UD was your home. Several different tours of campus are available throughout the weekend as are tours of the still-under construction science lab and the Science, Technology and Advanced Research campus (former Chrysler facility). Don't miss these opportunities to reacquaint yourself with (or learn about) your campus!

Stay at UD

Move Back In

Blue Hens attending Alumni Weekend 2012 not only have the chance to return to campus for a weekend of fun and engaging activities, but they also have the chance to stay overnight at UD in dorm rooms! The rooms are air conditioned, smoke-free and only a fifteen-minute walk to Gore Hall.
