Go for the gold, set a new personal best or just enjoy a leisurely tour of campus with fellow Blue Hens during the 5th annual Blue Hen 5K. A special prize will be given to the participant(s) who shows the most UD spirit, so put on your Blue & Gold and go! The 5K also features the competition for the President's Cup, which is awarded to the UD group that has the most participants and fastest runners.
Future Blue Hens (age 11 and under) are invited to race in the 1K Kids Fun Run before cheering on their parents and friends in the Blue Hen 5K. The Fun Run course is located on the Laird Campus (North Campus) turf and is free for all kids. Free parking is available in the Laird Campus parking lots.
Registration will be on the patio of the Laird Campus turf.
Schedule:
- 7:30 - 8:50 a.m.: 5K Registration opens
- 8:30 a.m.: 1K Fun Run for kids
- 9 a.m.: Blue Hen 5K begins
- 10 a.m.: Finish line celebration
