Class Reunions

Class Reunions

Individual class reunions are being held for the Classes of 1965, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005 and 2010. Please see details regarding each reunion below.

The classes of 1985, 1980, 1975, and 1970 are also celebrating reunion years and are encouraged to informally gather at Dela-bration or on Main Street.

All reunion classes will also be celebrated at the “Chat with Pat” event on Saturday, June 6 at the new Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering building (ISE Lab) on Academy Street. Reunion class representatives will be presenting their class fundraising totals at this time.

Class of 2010 5th Reunion Celebration
(The Green at the Roselle Center for the Arts, 110 Orchard Road)
Saturday, June 6, 5–7 p.m.

The 5th Reunion committee has been meeting monthly to plan this special reunion with a "Summer Backyard Party" theme. Enjoy yard games, open bar with heavy hors d'oeuvres, DJ and dancing. $20 per person.

Class of 2005 10th Reunion Celebration (Wright House, 44 Kent Way)
Saturday, June 6, 5–7 p.m.

Join us at the Old Blue and Gold Club (across from the President's House) for the Class of 2005's 10th Reunion event. Open bar and heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served. $15 per person.

Class of 2000 15th Reunion Celebration (Klondike Kate’s, 2nd Floor, 158 E. Main Street)
Saturday, June 6, 2–4 p.m.

Meet us at Kate's, and we'll party like it's 1999 with appetizers and 2 drink tickets (+ cash bar). $15 per person.

Class of 1995 20th Reunion Celebration (Stone Balloon Ale House, 115 E. Main Street)
Saturday, June 6, 3–5 p.m.

We're taking over the Stone Balloon Ale House and enjoying appetizers and 2 drink tickets (+ cash bar). $15 per person.

Class of 1990 25th Reunion Celebration
(Vita Nova in the Trabant University Center, 2nd Floor)
Saturday, June 6, 4:30–6:30 p.m.

We'll check out the Trabant University Center and the newly renovated Vita Nova restaurant. We'll enjoy appetizers, one drink ticket, plus cash bar. Park in the Trabant Garage (across from Deer Park Tavern, parking rates apply) and make your way to the second floor. $15 per person.

50th & Gold Guard Alumni Reunion Programs

The Gold Guard is the distinguished group of UD graduates who have been alumni for 50 years or more. Each year at Alumni Weekend, we honor this group with special programming, including the induction of the 50th reunion class into the Gold Guard.

This year’s showcase venue is the STAR Campus (Science Technology and Applied Research), the former Chrysler plant site, UD‘s newest building and home to the College of Health Sciences (CHS).

Special thanks to the 50th Reunion Class of 1965 Committee Event Co-Chairs, Marie Chelly Gregg and Barbara Price Vann, Gift Chair, Ed Stein and their fellow committee members who dedicated their time and talents to create the Gold Guard Reception, 50th Reunion Dinner and Farewell Brunch. 50th Reunion & Gold Guard Cocktail Reception and Bus Tour (STAR Campus, 540 South College Ave.)
Saturday, June 6, 3–6 p.m.

During this special reception, the 50th Reunion Class of 1965 will be inducted into the Gold Guard. All alumni and guests are welcome. Live jazz music will set the mood, appetizers will be served, and all guests will receive 2 drink tickets (+ cash bar). $25 per person.

Optional tours (3:15-4:15 p.m.) include a guided campus bus tour or guided tour of the new STAR Health Sciences Complex by a student ambassador.

Induction of the Class of 1965 into the Gold Guard will commence at 4:45 p.m. with special guest, Kathy Matt, dean of the College of Health Sciences.

50th Reunion Dinner: “The Way We Were” Celebration (STAR Campus, 540 South College Ave.)
Saturday, June 6, 6–10 p.m.

A cocktail hour kicks off the 50th Reunion with live music, hors d'oeuvres, and two drink tickets with cash bar. Guests can take a walk down memory lane in the photo and memorabilia room. Class photo at 6:20 p.m. will conclude the cocktail reception.

At 6:30 p.m., committee chairs and special guests will make remarks, followed by a plated dinner, Dela-bration sundae bar and dancing. $50 per person.

Class of 1965 Farewell Brunch (Embassy Suites Hotel, 654 South College Ave.) 
Sunday, June 7, 10 a.m.–Noon

After spending a great weekend on campus, the Class of 1965 will gather one last time for a farewell Sunday brunch in the Delaware Bay and Explorer rooms. A full breakfast will be served and includes assorted fruit juices, seasonal fruit, scrambled eggs, cinnamon French toast, bacon and sausage, breakfast potatoes, assorted pastries, coffee and tea. $25 per person.
