| CONTACTS
Below is a list of people to
contact according to their responsibilities and/or areas of expertise or concern. Please
feel free to contact them with questions or concerns.
Mental Health/Counseling
- Center for Counseling and Student Development: 831-2141
- Faculty and Staff Assistance Program: 831-2414
- In cases where a student might need counseling, or need assistance or information
beyond what you can provide, feel free to refer them to the Center for Counseling and
Student Development. You may also call the Counseling Center to consult with a staff
member regarding a student. This might include questions about whether and how to refer
the student for counseling. All of the staff at the Center are trained to deal with LGBT
issues. One of the psychologists, Deb Cohen, has been involved in developing the Allies
Program. For cases involving staff or faculty, refer them to the Faculty and Staff
Assistance Program.
Sexual Harassment/Assault
- Office of Women's Affairs: 831-8065
- If an individual wants to file a report of an incident of sexual harassment or
assault, the Office of Women's Affairs is the place to begin, even if the complainant is
male. The Office can also provide more information about the steps to file a complaint and
other community resources.
Staff/Faculty Issues
- Richie Holland
(Office of Human Resources and Affirmative Action): 831-2059 or richieh@udel.edu
- Dr.Wunyabari Maloba: (Office of Affirmative Action/Multicultural Programs) 831-8735 or maloba@udel.edu
- Not everyone who comes to you will be a student; you may have a colleague
approach you for assistance. If that person has concerns regarding discrimination or
harassment in the workplace, or other questions about LGBT issues at UD, you can contact
the persons listed above for more information.
Social Activities
- If an individual has a question about where to go to meet other LGBT individuals,
or what LGBT-oriented events are occurring in the area, the above contacts can provide you
with that information.
